Agreed. I keep thinking that someday we will refurbish those wonderful tools. It was also a little safer to bike around Pasadena in the early 1900s.
I have a friend who is a skilled carpenter and does excellent home renovations. He turns down twice as much biz as he actually does.
There are a lot of braceros who build the new houses to a formula, but not many folks doing skilled work these days.
