Last Thursday, an agency of the Government of Canada responsible for providing and consolidating information technology services across federal government departments informed federal government employees that they would be fired “without recourse or labor union participation” if they used any form of the popular meme “Let’s Go Brandon” in any of their correspondence.
Shared Services wrote, “This is a formal notification that all government correspondence must be professional in nature and approved by department heads. When applicable all correspondence must be vetted by the PMO for framing and message prior to public disclosure or internal distribution.”

Mocking libs is the only way to break them. Look at the cognitive dissonance and subsequent meltdowns they have when you put up “Islam is right about homosexuals” or “Islam is right about women” signs. They know they’re being mocked but can’t figure out how to respond.
A contrary view.
If correspondence is official and sent via government channels, i.e. computers, email, fax machines etc., then the govt. “owns” the communication and has the right to monitor what is sent.
I don’t know how the Canadian govt. handles this but that’s the way it works for the U.S. federal govt. For example, if a federal employee sends pornographic material attached to an email on his govt. computer, that employee is subject to disciplinary action.
I think in most large corporations, the rules are similar.
