Well, that explains why my insurance company is trying to get me to cancel my policy. And why my kids are trying to get me to increase my coverage.

I doubt it and I hope not. But with a diminished immune system it will leave the door wide open for infections with viruses as well as bacteria. Well time will tell as it usually does.
Not dead, but close to immunity collapse ala AIDS is what I read into this.
