My guess is that he will move closer to the coast, where it’s much more mild.
If he’s any kind of survivor and he has a high tolerance for discomfort and has a good sleeping bag and tent, it’s really a question of getting food. As long as he can do that, he can out there for years.
Why does everyone assume he is outside wandering around? He is probably out of the country or staying with someone who hides him.
