We used to have a Chief Aviation Machinist Mate from Georgia IIRC who we named Chief Muddy Waters because of the giant wad of ever present chaw in his mouth and the constant stream of thick brown fluid he was always spitting out from underneath his bristly mustache...:)
It was funny, he was the one who seemed to give everyone their nickname, and when this moniker was applied to him by us, he seemed quite pleased with it!
