I don't believe that - if his remark about DeMaurice Smith was all that had emerged, Gruden would be busy installing another losing game-plan for next Sunday. The fuss over that was already dying down, and multiple black players and black football commentators had already absolved him.

What did him in was the anti-gay stuff. The NFL is all-in on the LGBTQXYZ agenda, and no one is allowed to say anything about the topic except "brave" and "courageous".
