There’s nothing to stop us deplorables from applying poker culture to political culture.

Okay, I don’t know nothing about poker, except that there is this “tell” thing, that an inexperienced player will signal his hand with unintentional visual cues. That is why every poker player needs to go to “poker face” school.

But there’s nothing to stop us deplorables from applying poker culture to political culture. Not yet, I hope, Attorney General Garland.

One of my favorite “tells” is Nancy Pelosi branding the Tea Party as an “AstroTurf” operation back in 2009. Of course she would think that, because every left-wing “activist” operation in the U.S. is an AstroTurf operation, sponsored by the ruling class through George Soros or Thousand Currents or Tides Center. Everybody Does It, right Nance? You weren’t born yesterday, no ma’am.

So whatabout the “tell” from Sen. Schumer (D-NY) on Thursday, blaming Republicans and Sen. McConnell (R-KY) for the temporary debt ceiling Keystone Kops show? Are you telling us, Chuck, that you are feeling the heat, and starting to sweat a little?

And what in the world is this crazy idea of siccing the FBI on obstreperous parents showing up at school-board meetings and boisterously objecting to CRT indoctrination of their children, which we now understand was a collusion between the Dems and the teachers unions -- and the National School Boards Association that nobody ever heard of before the day before yesterday?

The ultimate Tell is that they tried to impeach a guy who wasn’t even in office anymore. Gee, we’re not scared of him roaring back in 2024 are we?

Another was proclaiming even the watered down election reforms in Georgia to be Jim Crow Part II even though Georgia still has election laws far slacker than several blue states. You’re not counting on maintaining the massive election fraud machine in Georgia for future elections are you?

Using your poker parlance, I believe the Democrats are in real trouble because this time, and once and for all, they have shown their hand. For sixty years the leftist trajectory moved by fits and starts but ineluctably leftward. Now finally, the left drift has become a race, and Democrat Marxist plans for education, the military, public safety, immigration, and the economy are quite clear. They are draconian. They are anti-intellectual, anti-military, anti-police, anti-culture, and luddite. The cleavage between left and right, Democrat and Republican, is now so apparent it is impossible to ride the fence or seek compromise. The next four years are crucial, and it is quite possible that we will see an election that in its outcome mirrors 1932.

Their march left has finally hit the brick wall. Like the parade band in Animal House they have marched into the wall. The ones in front are being smashed by the ones behind them, moving and smashing, and no where to go. They can’t retreat, the forward motion can’t be stopped. So they are carried along until the wall ends their parade and the whole band just collapses into a heap of broken dreams, tangled lies and no plan B.
