Lauderhill use to be a nice retirement city west of Fort Lauderdale.
Over time the retirees passed and the many 50’s rental units became about 85 percent migrant and poor.
It is a constant crime scene where they strip wiring from vacant buildings and sell the copper.
Many stores have left rather than lose money to theft.
It is a pathetic little place.
Just saying.

Yep.

I have black friends who’ve lived in Florida for many years and have told me the same thing.

Seems a lot of Florida is going this way, once nice quiet communities are being taken over by crime, or are just small pockets of quiet areas surrounded by crime. The only places in Florida I would now consider moving too, I can’t afford, i.e. Naples area. I would only move to florida if I could be on or very close to the water; I am sure there are nice safe conservative areas inland, but thats not for me.

Generally like the political climate, but I fear FLA is rapidly going down the tubes as more and more northerners move in and bring their politics with them.

Affirmative.
I worked for S Bell when Oakland stoped at Gleasons house.
Wired most of the condos like “Havian Gahdens” that were owned by NE retirees.
Its now a 3rd world country.
