I remember, back in college, signing up to go to 10,000'.

That meant I was the last out of the C185 jump plane. Pilot told me to load first, rear bulkhead had been removed so there was room for my legs in the cabin. I was no where near the door.

I politely declined.

Sky divers are a crazy lot.

I have a theory about sky divers. They are all virgins.

When I skydived years ago, once you got over 500 feet, you relaxed a little. Higher is always better.

I only jump from hot air balloons and that was 50 years ago.

You need a bit of air between you and the ground, the plane crashed on takeoff. The other 60 seconds of most dangerous time to be in an aircraft. Landing being the other.
