My experience watching Haaaavahd MBAs run companies into the ground says this is good advice.
It’s not just Harvard MBAs, it’s MBAs from a bunch of schools, basically when you see a company that grows very rapidly with the founders of the company running things and at some point, they step back and hire Bean Counters to run the company that company more times than not will begin to fail.....
You see it all the time in Technology Companies, look at what happened at Apple when Steve Jobs got replaced by a guy who sold soft drinks and didn’t know anything about technology....
Look at Boeing, they were run by Engineers and built a great plane, replace them with Bean Counters and you get the disastrous 737max...
Countless examples exist...
Agree, In the 15 years I had a consulting company, and recruited hundreds, any resume’s with Ivy league hit the round file, followed by any Lawyers.
Actually they have been doing just that for decades. A good case is the U & I Sugar company. They hired Harvard MBA’s and in a few short years it was defunct. This was in the late 70’s.
