I have a 9 acre lawn and a 60-in zero turn mower fortunately I live in Kentucky so my country doesn’t have this restriction.
Personally, I think it’s funny. That’s all we’re left to do and when I don’t go there anymore.
Kick California out of America.
“Ban gas.”.
Difficult in a state full of taco trucks
Energy is needed to generate the electricity. It comes mostly from fossil fuels, with a huge loss of efficiency. It’s not about efficiency. It’s about making everyone miserable, and then installing totalitarianism.
In a sane world, you would think that people elected to run things would triage issues and focus on things such as improving fragile water resources, fostering business investment to raise tax receipts, and addressing crumbling roadways and bridges.
Instead, they seem to spend all their time deliberately destroying things that might help people and fostering things that will destroy society.
There was once upon a time I thought these people doing this were simply stupid and incompetent, but...that was decades ago.
They aren’t doing all these things through stupidity and incompetency, though those characteristics make their deconstruction of our society and culture far more efficient.
Their overriding motive is hatred and malice.
As soon as liberals figure out how to drink electricity, they won’t need water anymore. And that would make the southern California desert area open to even more people. Easy Peasy.
Normally, I don't use Wikipedia for anything beyond a birthdate that is how invalid their information is, but...I think they were right on this thing.
They say he is a "Cancer". Now, I know they were referring to his Zodiac sign, but I have to agree with them.
This thing has never held a job in his life. Vermin like him and his allies are indeed a cancer.
"Coexistence" with people like that is not possible. I hope we realize that before it is too late.
Because minds much greater than yours have been on it.
These people are insane to the cult.
Modern cars today are already zero-emitters when it comes to traditional pollutants (Hydrocarbons, Carbon Monoxide, and Nitrous Oxides), which is why the had to invent a new ‘pollutant’ (Carbon Dioxide, LOL) to stop people from driving.
But small engines still put out a boatload of (real) pollutants, although 4-stroke engines, too, could likely be zero’d out with systems similar to what’s used in cars, but the relative cost would be huge (computer controlled fuel injectors with catalytic converters and dual oxygen sensors). For 2-strokes, hard to see how to clean them up...and then you have to worry about weight in those engines, since they’re rarely on wheels...so they will go battery.
But it’s going to be a mess for gardeners, and very, very, expensive for them...which means the days of nice lawns and shrubs will only exist in the future for the Jones’, since no one else will be able to keep up.
“I have a 9 acre lawn and a 60-in zero turn mower fortunately I live in Kentucky so my country doesn’t have this restriction.”
LOL, good one! You forgot the word “yet”.
Read it again. It bans the SALE not use. And yes, there will be huge up tick on small engine repair needs.
Well yeah, that goes without saying :-)
Battery power will save the day. when my gas powered tools give it up I switch them over to a new battery unit. I am very satisfied with the newer generation that uses 28 volt batteries. Still don’t have a replacement for the Troy built rotor tiller.
Send out herds of goats and sheep to trim them . . . oh wait, they might emit methane . . .
A rototiller would need to be replaced by a good heavy duty grub hoe. That’s my go to vegetable garden and ground clearing/prep tool.
An outright ban is a modest approach? Do they use different dictionaries in California?
It is an iconic sound, the sound of gas mowers, string trimmers and leaf blowers of the landscapers filling the air at gray dawn in CA.
We will see how they get on without gas power.
putting all the illegal yardmen out of business?
