You can probably research more articles on statins here. There is a lot of research and a lot of doctors that say statins are not healthy and not worth it.
Is he taking statins for high cholesterol? Because it seems like the research today does not indicate cholesterol is a good predictor of heart health. Has he had his homocysteine tested?
Many people go downhill fast after starting Statins.
This is just more proof.
The doctors prescribe them because the drug companies do everything they can to get doctors to prescribe them.

Please do more research on statins. They can have many bad effects. I am not giving medical advice I am a RN not a Dr. That being said, everyone that was on a statin in my family is no longer on them.
