I agree. Hollywood has been turning out real garbage for decades. Fortunately there is ample access to really great old movies from the 40’s thru the 70’s.

Gold Finger was the only James Bond movie I have seen, and I don't remember if it was on TV or in the movie theater. Because it's so long ago.

My most favorite movie is Quo Vadis. I saw that as a teenager. I am 80 now

Liked it. Not as good as Casino Royale or Skyfall, but it does continue to actually develop Bond-—something as the writer points out Connery never did.

The movie did kind of fall apart with the villain’s motivations, but I could watch Craig as Bond all day. Don’t see how they ever replace him.
