>> That was never a thing, some simpletons who enjoy being offended pulled it out of thin air. He quit, his number was reassigned, that's all it was. <<

Yep. I think all the internet "buzz" that the film existed to have James Bond replaced by a black woman for the NEXT movie was essentially vaporware. Reminds me when people on "our side" INSISTED that the 2013 movie Frozen was covertly "selling" the idea of coming out of the closet as gay, or in the 90s that the Harry Potter novels were real witchcraft, trying to introduce kids to wiccan covens and satanic spells. Bull!

>> From what I recall (I only saw this turd once) I actually liked the new 007 character. <<

She was meh, a throwaway character that didn't have any impact on the story or the film itself. Similar to the false "rumors" that the "Captain Marvel" character would "take over" the MCU. I honestly DID like the black Miss Moneypenny, gay Q, and bitchy female "M" though... all of whom were introduced way BEFORE this movie! (although Q wasn't "revealed" to be gay until now)

>> And I agree with you on "M", it was cool it was a man again but he's boring so give me Dench. <<

Next film will be another reboot anyway, so its all null and void. I like Ralph Finnes as an actor, but his version of M was forgettable during the last two movies.

>> The stupid nanobots, Bond committing suicide!, more BLOWfeld. *aggot Q (I don't like him regardless of his sexuality), boring villain. <<

Reviving the Blofeld character in the Daniel Craig universe was a bad idea to BEGIN with (he had already been played out during iconic films of the 60s and 70s, and its not like they were remaking ANY of the Ian Fleming novels that featured the character). It was made 10X worse by the way the Craigverse did it... having Christophe Waltz as Blofeld-In-Name-Only, and coming up with some retarded "twist" of him being Bond's long lost stepbrother! I assume one of the writers of Spectre must have watched Star Trek Into Darkness and concluded that Faux Khan was AWESOME and that the Bond franchise needs to follow suit! I can't blame No Time To Die for the sins of Spectre, but bringing back Faux Blofeld certainly didn't help the movie. This version is best forgotten.

>> Only good thing was Ana de Armas. <<

If they asked me to pitch a "Bond reboot" now, one way I'd tie it into the previous films while having totally new actors, setting, timeline, themes, tone, etc., would be to somehow get Ana de Armas back to reprise her role in the NEW continuity. It sounds crazy on paper, but they already did it with Dench in Casino Royale, they can do it again!

>> Craig as Bond, would have been much better with better movies. "Casino" was good and it was all down hill from there."Quantum" I called a "quiet spy thriller" that didn't feel very Bond but wasn't a bad movie. "Skyfall" was only good in the same way Star Trek 4 was. The last 2 were partial-birth abortions. Moore could make some pretty campy crap still enjoyable to watch, Craig could not elevate this material. <<

IMO, this was the ONLY one of the Craig films where Craig actually TRIED to play Bond. I had no idea the man could actually ACT until I watched Knives Out. In all his other movies (Bond or otherwise), I had always seen him play cold-blooded reptilian characters that constantly seemed hung over and pissed off.

The "Craig Best Bond Since Connery, the haters were proven wrong" crowd will never admit that Craig's scorecard has the WORST track record of any of the Bond actors, though. 60% of his Bond films are in the "NOT good" category. The Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan eras look GREAT in comparison!

The series has so thoroughly moved away from what it was that I appreciated it for, that I just don’t bother with the most recent stuff anymore.

Bond was a cold-war era character. His adventures should be set between 1945-1970 or thereabouts. The character should be killed or dead of the effects of alcohol abuse by the time he’s 50.
