I was watching an old movie from 1940 with two men working in a gas station.

The sign on the station read “8 gallons for a dollar!”
Now it is 8 dollars for a gallon.

My how times have changed.

But then I still remember I could buy a brand new truck for $1999.00.
Now that truck is $29000.00 or more.

I remember my friend dad bought a brand new Mercedes Benz for $10,000 and we thought that was all the money in the world. Now it would probably buy a half way decent used car
