Maybe why I always got along famously with Jewish friends and neighbors. My IQ is upthere with theirs. Probably lots of other Freepers too.
The reason I live in my wonderful Republican town is: My daughter’s best friend in high school was Jewish and moved here, then my daughter did and then I did. Very happy with my life.
A number of years ago when my Mother was still alive, I gave her an Ancestry.com account for Xmas one year, she was really into Genealogy.
When Ancestry started doing DNA testing, I had a close friend try it and was please with the results, so I had my DNA tested thru Ancestry....
I was always told that my ancestry was British and Spanish, when I got the results of the DNA testing I was surprised to say the least....
I was 50% British, but the 2nd strongest DNA trait was Ashkenazi Jew from Eastern Europe.
My mother did not believe it and sent off to have her DNA tested, her results came back 50% Ashkenazi Jew, the ancestry could have only come from her Father who passed away when she was a teenager, he immigrated to the USA before WW I, his name was Michael Thompson, hardly a Eastern European Jewish name, she knew he was adopted but we have no information on his birth...so he must have been a 100% Ashkenazi Jew.....
And You’re right, I have always been friendly with Jews

Some equate high IQ as meaning you’re part of The Tribe. My Jewish friends would try to claim me despite me being a Southern Anglo Celt who regards New Yorkers as an alien species. I have a Huguenot ancestor with the last name David so sometimes I mess with them by referring to King David as Cousin Dave.
