No. This is who we are now as a Society.
This is how sick our Culture has become.
Insanity and stupidity are ruling the day.
https://youtu.be/-vJJKPT4ESk I was charged by a racoon in a similar way the other night as I was putting out water for the deer that eat our flowers when they are thirsty. Only the racoon was standing on its back legs with his little arms raised and making growly sounds as he approached. Was kind of comical except that they actually have been known to cause injuries. Thank god no one filmed our encounter! A doo gooder judge might have given me jail time or a fine. Oh wait it was just Pedals the walking bear.
I mean...,
They do have to find ways to fill all the cells formerly filled with murderers, rapists, and child molesters, since they’ve been letting them all out.

Agree entirely. Except I call our “injustice system” The legal INDUSTRY, and we are the commodities.
Bears are so soft and cuddly, she just wanted to hug them.
Yeah I don’t bet it. She is fired for e dangering her own life potentially, but the sentence is one that endangers her life potentially, jail time
Complete lawlessness throughout America and THIS is justice?
We have deadly shoot-outs in Chicago and no charges are filed.
We have a traitor who is head of the armed forces.
We have an unconstitutional vaccine mandate by a demented president.
We have two million illegal immigrants flooding the country at the FLAGRANTLY unlawful invitation of the entire current administration.
We have a documented, four-year criminal and traitorous conspiracy by senior federal bureaucrats to oust a duly-elected president.
Where is the long line of those criminals going to prison?
A woman taking a photo of a bear goes to jail and gets a huge fine by order of a federal magistrate?
The American people should completely ignore all federal laws until they are fairly and evenly enforced. Overwhelm the corrupt courts and bring the system to a standstill.
We should all show our contempt and hatred for such a lawless judicial system.
Park rangers used to be cowboys
ordered her to pay a $1,000 fine and $1,000 to a wildlife protection fund.
Wildlife protection fund? Why would they get any money?
The bear can take care of itself.
Let her and the bear sort it out between them. I have my money on the bear. Problem solved.
And the cubs as well...
The last time we were in Yellowstone some bison decided to rest in the middle of the road.
We just waited them for them to decide to move—it took several minutes.
The law is super-dumb.
Do you back away slowly from a bear? Do you run away as fast as you can? Some animals take it as an invitation to chase you if you run. I don’t know about how bears interpret it.
—
From everything I’ve heard about bears, you back slowly away while facing them, but not staring them down. Bears are surprisingly fast for their size and may instinctively chase anything that flees from them.
She would have made a nice lunch.
From Illinois, ya say?
A Bears fan, no doubt.
When I was a zookeeper I saw people climb over guardrails and hold their babies up to have a large male chimp or a bear kiss them. I would always get furious over that.
The chimp was especially dangerous. I got along very well with him, but I never got where he could grab me. We once had to go into his area. We tranquilized him, and had two men with high powered rifles aimed at him the entire time we were in the compound, just in case he woke up.
Don’t get between a mama bear and her cubs. That’s asking to be attacked.
The left found a way to profit from enforcement actions, beginning with the tobacco settlement which forced tobacco firms to fund leftist anti-tobacco “non-profit” organizations. It is becoming increasingly common for low-level punishments like the too-close-to-a-bear fine to be funneled to lefty causes. I wonder if such a fine could be opposed on first amendment grounds.
As has now been clearly demonstrated in this country, the serfs rapidly learn to:
Bow down!... Obey!... Snitch!...
It’s like BMI-35 could have run away from the bear, although the bear may have just started busting up watching her try...and that could have bought her just enough time.
