Daniel Day Lewis is the only one who looks part elf.
He could have done a great job.

Either Nicholas Cage or Russell Crowe I think. Jackson liked Viggo Mortensen; I guess that I have gotten used to him. Did you know that when he kicked that Ork helmet in The Two Towers he actually did break a toe? No wonder he screamed so loudly! Also, when Samwise waded into the Anduin chasing Frodo in his Elf canoe, he cut his foot badly on a broken piece of glass under the water.
