Florida police on Thursday refuted reports that authorities searching a marshy nature reserve for fugitive Brian Laundrie had come upon remnants of a fresh campsite.
North Port Police Department spokesman Josh Taylor confirmed to The Post in an email that the report from CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Wednesday night was incorrect.
“No campsite has been located,” he wrote.
Cuomo said he was told by a source close to the Laundrie family that a campsite had been found at the 25,000-acre Carlton Reserve, where the FBI has lead a search since Sept. 18.

Its Fall,the homeless are headed South to Carlton,Deer Prarie and all other areas.
Normally N Port lets them be this year maybe different as the camps they set up will screw up the search.
Note to the FBI and everyone else. He is not in and never was, the Carlton Marsh Reserve. Stop looking there.

He says he met with the FBI yesterday for 45 minutes. He says they took a lot of notes and they are taking him seriously.

There has been speculation that the feebs know where Landrie is but are not in a big rush to take him into custody because they don’t have enough evidence to charge him with murder.
Former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer has been closely following the case. When asked this question (interview with NewsDaddy Brian Entin), she emphatically stated the FBI does not know the location of BL.
under the circumstances, imaginatively, the fbi has a duty to protect members of the public from a suspect in a crime who is considered to be dangerous, if not armed and dangerous, even if the relevant evidence is not released to the public.
