If it’s true he was off duty and not in uniform, he has a strong case, especially if other officers - perhaps even in uniform - had been engaging in political activity and had NOT been disciplined.

other Louisville police officers, in uniform, and apparently while on-duty, publicly marched in an LGBT parade and participated in Black Lives Matter protests

In NYS, we had on duty, uniformed and plain clothes LE personnel participating in BLM protests.

No repercussions.

Zip, zero, nada.
