Yeah, I trust him about as much as I trust his grandpa. I bet that Pat Grassley is being groomed to take over grandpa’s senate seat whenever Gramps finally croaks or is forced to retire. I guess it really doesn’t matter who Iowa’s senator are. They are all fully owned by the corn/ethanol lobby.
Not so much anymore.
For one thing, ethanol is dying (or was). More expensive than fracking. Still good for feed production, which it remains a money making business.

I remember Bob Dole running in Iowa in 1996. He had to walk back an ethanol statement. He did it sarcastically as I recall. He had a quick wit. He was a bit more honest and funny than most of the establishment. At least he supported Trump.
His nickname now is “Pelosi Pat.”
