A judge on Tuesday thwarted a far-left prosecutor who likely would have blocked citizens from recalling a Loudoun County school board member, ruling that the process of recalling Beth Barts, who was censured for repeatedly attacking parents, can proceed under a special prosecutor instead.
After Barts was stripped of her committee duties following partisan activism that frequently took the form of attacking parents, she summoned a mob of vigilantes in an “anti-racist” Facebook group who threatened to “hack” opinionated parents, with a sheriff’s investigation concluding that the parents were largely put in the crosshairs for questioning the extended school closures pushed by teachers unions.
The Facebook group included several elected officials — including the county’s top elected prosecutor, Buta Biberaj. In Virginia, elected officials cannot be recalled by getting a certain number of signatures from voters; rather, meeting that threshold triggers a trial in which a prosecutor argues to a judge that the elected official has taken actions that warrant removal, including misuse of office, neglect of duty, and incompetence.

School board elections are notoriously ignored and see extremely low participation in the voter base, making them low-hanging fruit for energized leftists to easily pick off, even in staunchly conservative areas. These recalls would be completely unnecessary if conservatives would engage early at the lowest levels of government. I think we could even win control of schools in deep blue areas if we’d just ENGAGE!!

Totally agree. Conservatives by nature are reluctant to get involved in politics... in a way, we let this happen. The whole "evil prevails when good people do nothing" idea. Anyway, it's time for all of us to get involved, to find out what is going on in our schools, and to run against these people who we have let take over our schools!
Some have suggested pulling our kids out of the public schools. Why??? In most communities, we are the majority, we just have to reassert ourselves and take our public schools back!
That was my very first thought, too. Garland will now have to go after the judge for thwarting the leftist prosecutor who was blocking the recall.
Exactly. There is no excuse for schools in conservative areas to fall to the radical left. I think people in these areas just presume that the status quo will prevail. Leftists salivate over this apathetic attitude. They know that motivation in their circles will win these seats, even though they’re perhaps 25% of the voting population. It’s scandalous!
They are afraid we figured out that we need conservatives on the board. They are scaring people from getting out and protesting the same way they made 1/6 into an insurrection. Remember a week or two ago when a protest was in Washington for conservatives and no one showed. (well FBI and a few teefers did)
Their fear campaigns work. People will fear school board meetings now and only the radical will show up.

You’re exactly right. A person I know ran for school board and was elected with 126 votes. Not WON by 126 vote as with an opponent. She won with 126 vote because no one cared to vote.
Take back the schoolboards, the county board, the city council and the sheriff’s office via the vote and you control the county. When you control the majority of the counties, you can control the state.
All this is doable, despite the negative rantings by brainwashed defeatists.
