On October 6 at 4 pm ET, join NBC News’ Al Roker and Savannah Sellers as they host this awards special celebrating the best in climate journalism.
he Nation cofounded Covering Climate Now with Columbia Journalism Review in 2019, forming a consortium that now has over 450 member organizations all working to nurture more—and better—climate journalism.
The award-winning print reporters, photojournalists, digital, television, and radio journalists, podcasters, and commentators were selected from a field of nearly 600 entries submitted from every continent except Antarctica. These journalists are leading the way with eye-opening firsthand accounts of a planet in crisis, inspiring stories of survival and resilience, and hard-hitting investigative reports that hold power to account.

I’m tingling with anticipation. I hope that reporteress who reports from a canoe about the devastating flood while two guys walk by in knee deep water wins.
I have other things to do. Like scrape my buttocks with a cheese grater after which I will squat in a vat of iodine.
What is the award called, The Fakies?
Film it in the middle of a squall and you might win an award for Best Citizen Climate Journalism.
We’re still expecting a mostly comfortable winter here in Florida.
Summer was hot, as usual.
September was hot, as usual.
LOL, talk about a “viral” video...
Al Roker has to know the weather has not changed since he took the job decades ago. He is a paid liar.
....”and the Fakey for Best Climate Induced Self-abuse as a Citizen Journalist goes to.....”
They are fighting off the heavier-than-normal ice coverage they saw down there this summer. Apparently the mail boats can't get through the pack ice...:)
LOL, I may have to photoshop up a new award...”The Fakey”!
Please do. I would call Photoshop and order one myself but I’m using the phone book to keep my coffee table level.
People like awards and news about awards. Patriots should get better at recognizing exemplary behavior in journalists and celebrities and politicians. We could have awards for Best Sycophantic White House Correspondent, Best Nepotism Connection Reporter, Best Photoshopper, Best Biden Apologist, Best Drama Queen or King, Best Accumulation of Obscene Wealth after Entering Politics, Best Political Betrayal by Politician, Best Ruling Class Disguise—the categories are endless and we could publish them at least annually. We could solicit votes by our own Academy members.
Heh, I’ll let you know...:)
Any pithy ideas will be welcome!
We could have awards for …
I like it!
