Florida fugitive Brian Laundrie’s sister told protesters outside her Lakewood Ranch home Monday that her family has been ignoring her following the disappearance of her brother and the death of his fiancée.
When asked if her parents were helping Brian Laundrie evade authorities, she said, "I don't know" and that she hadn't been able to speak with them.
"I'm in the boat where I'm getting ignored by my family and thrown under the bus by my family's attorney," Cassie Laundrie said to a group of protesters Monday in video shared by TikTok user @chroniclesofolivia.
The lawyer Laundrie seemed to be referencing, Steve Bertolino blamed the media. "I do not represent Cassie Laundrie," he told Fox News Digital in a text message Monday night. "Cassie’s comments can only be attributed to the press twisting my words and hers, which were only given to clarify prior mischaracterizations by the press, with the hopes of further sensationalizing this tragic story."

"We are just as upset, frustrated and heartbroken as everybody else," Cassie Laundrie and her husband told the crowd. "I am losing my parents and my brother and my children’s aunt and future sister-in-law on top of this."

Laundrie attorney Mr. Bertolino now says Brian left for the hike on Mon Sept 13, not Tues Sept. 14 like parents originally said.
Full Bertolino statement: "The Laundries were basing the date Brian left on their recollection of certain events. Upon further communication...

with the FBI and confirmation of the Mustang being at the Laundrie residence on Wednesday September 15, we now believe the day Brian left to hike in the preserve was Monday September 13."
I never heard he had a job except for the very first article that said they worked at Publix. And we know her parents were giving them money and buying them food online.
They’ll keep arranging dates to suit the story.
ya... maybe something like that (if not exactly that)...
still, imho they would have to be either very dense or very complicit, and i can’t quite yet wrap my mind around believing any halfway reasonable parents would be either of those... (so what am i missing? i keep asking myself...)
as to being democrats, i have heard that assertion before. i wonder where that information comes from (presuming it is not just an inference based on new york demographics aka stereotyping lol).
... with all due respect to the great state of florida... :)
Floridas voter registration is public. A FReeper looked up their voter registration and posted it.
When BL was drinking at Bullwinkle's Saloon, he made belligerent comments about Southerners and @#$%*&! Republicans.

OK. thanks.
as for the parents’ work, does anyone think that might have any relevance to their recent publicly known actions or behavior? (just wondering)

Brian just gets more and more difficult to defend, lol...
Almost all of my experiences in Florida have been surprisingly (very) positive. And I am from NY.
I wonder what the reason brian’s parents moved to Florida from NY was.
side issue, my memory on any potential reservations concerning florida brings up the travon martin case although it was resolved in favor of justice imho.
Most likely no income tax in FL. Also, property was remarkably reasonable in places like North Port until a few years ago. You could sell your Long Island property, buy a nice home in North Port and laugh all the way to the bank.
To clarify--Christopher Laundrie is registered NPA. Roberta Laundrie is registered Democrat. Brian Laundrie is persona au gratin as a voter in Florida.
I know they own a company that has something to do with juice bars. I thought they repaired the equipment but I could be wrong. Anyway, their website says they’re closed for now.
I’m originally from Ohio. Lived in NYC for two years. Talk about culture shock!
I seem to recall the Laundries were dabbling in FL real estate. IIRC, they had a condo in Venice. They had hoped to flip the house where they are currently residing. It didn’t work out for them.
How sad. ;-)
Cassie's husband James Luycx is listed as Republican.
