This brings up another issue with young people and the vaccines. For someone who has had COVID-19, and had undiagnosed myocarditis, getting vaccinated could be a significant risk.
This study would argue otherwise. Unless of course six in a million is considered a significant risk. Though, it does seem that two doses for confirmed recovered COVID young men are adding unnecessary risk no matter how small.
The study does not cover patients with pre-existing myocarditis. Another JAMA study suggests it is very common in COVID recovered athletes, frequently subclinical.
