Well.... If this ‘fine outstanding young man’ had several outstanding warrants for his arrest, could we deputize the puppies, and then it will all be legal.

Asleep, naked or in pajamas, and it sounds like his dogs have the upper hand. I wouldn't go out there on a bet. It is really hard to fight naked.
By the time he gets dressed the perp is outside the door. Go back to sleep.

No, it’s not. Cruel is when the homeowner is shot by an up and coming rapper who was turning his life around but managed to spend most of it in and out of jail and in fact, was just released by some bleeding heart judicial tyrant. That’s cruel.
