No, the geography/geometry has to be contiguous.
I think we should split it between East and West. Repubs and true Americans get East because…please bear with me…East is the true heart of the nation, where it was born. We are CONSERVATIVES and will cherish our history which is there. Commie Lib traitors would tear it down and burn it and replace with all their idols.
Furthermore, the East is more self-sustaining. Let libs figure out how to keep their desert lands going. Almost like their beloved Moslems do. And let them cherish their “Indian” and Mexican roots more which are still there. since they hate the whites who created the US so much.

Look at a map.
Western, Northern and Northeast Pennsylvania border Ohio, West Virginia, and Western NY. And Northern and Western NY border Vermont which, again, is only Blue because of the colleges and 2-3 cities, then east to New Hampshire and Maine. The only people screwed in that region are the folks on Long Island, unfortunately. And Western Mass and a sizable chunk of Connecticut are contiguous with eastern NY, Vermont and New Hampshire.
Every place I mentioned is contiguous with each other.
You’re still taking into account the current state borders.
What I’m saying is, if this were to happen, those borders would cease to exist.
The folks of Central and Eastern Washington & Oregon would want it on the new, RED Country, would they not? Would you prevent that because they don’t want to live under Kate Brown anymore.
Would you want to deny the folks on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan an opportunity to live in the new, RED Country because of the current state boundaries.
What makes Virginia, Blue? About 3 or 4 counties in Northern Virginia, next to DC, Richmond and the area around Norfolk/VaBeach. That’s it.
What give NC the ability to elect a Dem Governor, taking away the fraud? Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham and maybe a little from Asheville.
Again, all of the current lines/borders would be redrawn and the Blue cities will soon realize they’re on a very lonely island. Or all of the liberals will be moving out.

No it does not have to be contiguous. It is more convenient but it is not necessary.
