SAN ANTONIO - New developments in a police chase that ended in a deadly crash, killing 19-year-old TikTok star Gabriel Salazar from San Antonio.
The crash happened around 1:25 a.m. Sunday along Highway 83 in Zavala County near LaPryor. The sheriff's office there says at the time Salazar was driving undocumented immigrants from Mexico. Those three passengers were also killed in the crash, all men ages 41, 36 and 23.
According to the Zavala County Sheriff's Office, a deputy overheard a call from the Crystal City Police Department initiating a traffic stop on the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Salazar was driving. The police officer then told deputies he was involved in an active pursuit with the vehicle. A sheriff's deputy assisted the officer in attempting to deploy a tire deflection device, but it was unsuccessful, the department wrote on social media.
During the chase, Salazar lost control of the car, hit several trees, rolled over and caught fire. Salazar, as well as the three other passengers, were pronounced dead at the scene. The other passengers have been identified as 41-year-old Jose Luis Jimenez-Mora, 23-year-old Jose Molina-Lara, and 36-year-old Sergio Espinoza-Flores.
Salazar, who used the handle Gabenotbabe on TikTok and had more than 1 million followers. On his final Instagram post on Saturday, Salazar is posing beside and behind the wheel of a car.

Amazingly, I am not unhappy about this development.
Poetic justice for ill gotten gains.
Harsh, but the truth.
Well, the good news is his livestream will get 5 million hits.
He tiked his last Tok.
Dude looks gay.
I also notice that the article doesn't use any personal pronouns. I assume Gabriel is gay, but perhaps it might be a transman, or a who-knows-what.
I wonder if he was TikTok-ing himself when he lost control of the car.
(What does a TikTok star do, anyway?)
It would explain why he was picking up three strange men from mexico.
Dude looks like a lady.
Good news is His “handle” “Gabenotbabe” is now available!!
stupid kid
I looked around to see what a tiktocker with 1 million fans made - and got this from business insider about a gal with 1 million fans: ‘ For one sponsored TikTok post, Luong typically charges between $8,000 and $10,000”
now multiply that by 10 tiktoks a day. 41% of tiktockers are below 24. All hustling for a corporate sponsor(s)
and this kid wrapped all that around a tree - for illegals
Reminded of Woody Guthrie song about illegal aliens killed in a plane crash. The difference is these these would go back and forth across the border for work,
not crossing once into USA for welfare:
Some of us are illegal and some of us are not wanted
Our work contract’s out and we have to move on
But it’s 600 miles to that mexican border
They chase us like outlaws, like rustlers, like thieves
Goodbye to my Juan, goodbye Rosalita
Adios mis a-mi-gos, Jesus and Maria
You won’t have a name when you ride the big airplane
All they will call you will be deportee
(Son Arlo did a cover)
Unless men are now wearing lipstick and make duckface for selfies, he was quite gay. Nice car though.
Johnny Cash.
1. There can be no new developments, the thing is done and over. New information, perhaps.
2. I’m guessing tire deflation device, not deflection device, which makes no sense.
Hey, thats too bad.
Feel good story of the day.
Momma always said, nothing good happens after midnight.
