Yep good flick.
Thanks for the tip. I will have to check it out.
great recommendation, thanks!
Try "Open Range" - now my favorite. Although a good vs bad tale like most westerns, Costner and Duval have amazing chemistry. I think you'll like it, unless you have a problem with Costner, which many do ... I don't. I can leave the idiot actors' politics aside. As much as I hate Alec Baldwin, I'll still watch "Hunt For Red October" when channel surfing.
Interestingly, my wife went to HS with Costner. She says he was decent guy.
Yes, the remake of True Grit was better than what I remember of John Wayne. Bridges has a southern accent, so not much of a stretch. You can hear it slip through in other non-western characters, even with a vocal coach. Bridges is in my top 5 actors. He's always watchable and usually steals the scene.
Check out "Open Range" if you haven't. It's currently my favorite western. Maybe "Old Henry" will replace it. Thank you.
I’ve added Open Range to my watchlist. Thanks.
Unless you have a problem with Costner, you’ll like it. Basic western plot, but good story line and very likable realistic characters. Warning: It has a romantic part, but is entirely believable once you connect with the characters. The gunfight is different and more realistic than many westerns. Enjoy.
