well, I started self medicating my thyroid disease 20 yrs ago when I realized none of my doctors knew anything about Hashimoto’s.

Oops, when I said 'self-medicating' with a whiff of disapproval I meant self-medicating as in 'mood enhancers' such as alcohol, drugs, and weed, not doing research to improve your health.
