Leftists are not very good at analogies. This one doesn’t work on a lot of levels. For starters, smoking is an activity. Not getting vaccinated is not an activity. But there are plenty of others that I leave to others here too bring to the table.
Ms Sebelius, are you vaccinated? If you are then what are you worried about, regarding a person who is not vaccinated? Oh, I see, even though you are vaccinated, you can still get infected. Well if you can still get infected, then you could still infect someone else, even though you are vaccinated, right? Yes, that is right. So then you are no better than someone who is not vaccinated, right? Right. Apparently these vaccines are not preventing reinfection nor preventing someone who is vaccinated from becoming infected and possibly infecting others.
It would be better to only be vaccinating the most vulnerable, and let natural herd immunity develop from the infections of 97% of the population for whom an infection will not be fatal.
Someone should remind that person that the vaxxed spread COVID-19 just as effectively as the unvaxxed.
