NAC is one of four precursors to glutathione, which is the real immunization agent. Most sources say glutathione isn’t absorbed directly, but one did. So when we had the bioweapon, I biked to Sprouts and got the last 30 pill bottle for $18. The staff person said she had read an article that glutathione was going to be hard to get like NAC.
The precursor approach made sense to me, so I now eat a Brazil nut for selenium. However, then I read that most Brazil nuts come from Bolivia, and those are not high in selenium like the ones from Brazil. Yep, the affordable Brazil nuts from Costco were from Bolivia, but I’ve been logging what I eat in Cronometer and it shows I did 336% selenium last week, so I’m OK even without it. I haven’t yet added ALA nor methionine.
