Windows 10 sounds a lot like Fakebook.
Probably a coincidence. 🤔🤪😬

Thanks. Just had to grudgingly get a new computer when my old one died. New to Windows 10. That was very helpful.

Yeah, my preference would be on Linux only. But there are some Windows applications I haven't been able to replace/substitute within Linux. That list gets shorter all of the time, but I still have a handful I can't replace.
So, for now, my main PC is Win 10 Pro (with a *lot* more disabled that listed in the linked article). My backup PC and laptop are on Linux Mint.

I tried Linux Mint and I got half of the battery life from Linux than with Windows 10 on the same laptop. I tried all the battery saving settings offered in Mint but I got less than 6 hours and I usually get 13-14 hours on WIN 10.

I’m thinking of using one of my lesser laptops as a guinea pig for 11.

What I find amusing is that every one of these settings is reviewed during the first boot of the OS. This tells me that most people just skip all of the setup questions to get to a desktop. It’s not like MS is hiding any of this.

I have 7 computers now. all are dual boot or Linux only.
I only have one Win 10 only and that is because of my wifes
games that won’t work on Linux.
Don’t ask why I have so many computers.
