There comes a time in a grown-ups' life when the brain ceases to function at it's previously optimal capacity, and they begin to babble incoherently. There can be many reasons for this, but it is a function of advanced age.
For the most part, the senile old birds don't even realize there's something wrong, and they truly believe that they're making sense, and the rest of the world just doesn't understand, like its THEY who have a problem.
