The flow chart recommends starting with 300 mg niacin and 20 mg melatonin -- and also to take the melatonin 30 minutes before the niacin. Also, "Best with food", which seems to conflict with Dr. Kats's advice to take it with water only.
Next time I'll stick with 500 mg niacin, but jack up the melatonin to 20 mg. Has anyone had experience with taking additional melatonin in case you have breakthrough flush?
I suggest trying Walmart, which has a 10mg fast release melatonin, taken sublingual. It is quickly absorbed and quite likely more effective than higher doses of melatonin in tablet form... Also a pleasant fruity taste. Just my opinion, worth a try. :)
I know someone who took the jab early this year and I suggested 500mg niacin - time release - and the 10mg sublingual melatonin... don't know of any ill effects so far - except that they sleep better... just anecdotal, of course. :)
