How often would people have to take aspirin to cause an iron deficiency? I used to take it fairly often for headaches, maybe a few times a month, for a few years maybe. Never got anemia.

Increasing stored iron increases ferritin.

If blood ferritin is less than 70 ng/ml, the person has an iron deficiency.

People who have ferritin below 70 ng/ml

absorb more iron
have higher blood viscosity
do worse in physical tests
do worse in mental tests

People who have ferritin below 20 ng/ml have anemia.

I don’t know he point where iron deficiency causes problems in regulating temperature.
