The question I have for anybody who was taken this vaccine and feels the need to refer to someone as stupid is as follows: When you decided to get the vaccine, was the decision made after consulting your doctor, factoring in your unique and individual health, and coming bro a decision, or did you make the decision because you heard some politician, “journalist”, YouTube video, radio commercial, or social media posting telling you to take it. I’m pretty sure that 99 times out of 100, it’s going to be the ladder. I’ve also got a $100 that says that’s the same type of person who believes that President Trump told people not ingest fish tank cleaner or inject bleach.
To, not bro. And latter, not ladder.
Wife has copd/emphysema on oxygen, her Doctor recommended she get vaccinated and myself as even a whiff of the virus would land her in ICU and she’d never come out. He was upset we held off till the J&J came available in March as neither of us wanted the rna brew. Neither of us would have opted for the shot without the current respiratory and age issues.
I got the vaccine early, because I was told, that it would give me very high immunity, and would be effective at high levels for a long time. Herd immunity was promised, and I felt we were somewhat blackmailed by government dangling activities we missed, like candy in front of a child.
Now I am told (or am learning) that my vaccine will give me some immunity. I can still catch and spread covid, but if I do, I won’t get as sick. We’ve learned variants of Covid are spreading rapidly among both unvaccinated and vaccinated alike. No one speaks about herd immunity any longer. Although hidden, it also seems there are people who have had adverse reactions to the vaccine.
Do I regret my decision? No, as I had no effects from the vaccine, and I have remained unaffected by covid. But I do feel I’ve been sold a changing bill of goods. I wonder, how much more will it still change?
I was vaccinated long ago...against stupidity and peer pressure. If all of your friends jumped off a covid shot would you do it too? Nope!
