The Putnam County school board warned students and coaches last week not to pray together following their football games.
But on Friday the players defied the school board and kneeled to pray together anyway following the game.

Perhaps it was an imprecatory prayer to God against the satanic Putnam County school board.

The school board no doubt was threatened with a lawsuit from Americans United for Separation of Church and State. That’s what groups like this do. A lawsuit which would be expensive to defend and very likely to lose. So they issue the prohibition. They are just covering their behinds.

Now if the Board were to punish the students involved, then picketing may be warranted. Coaches, as employees of the district really shouldn’t be leading the prayers, though what harm there’d be in bowing their heads, I can’t see.

We were glad to hear that our church has a weekly Bible Club meeting IN the elementary school. I thought that was forbidden. Our pastor isn’t one to back down, and we are in the Bible Belt, so it seems to work out.
