I’m a heat aficionado myself, but do not ascribe to self-inflicted torture. I use cayenne like pepper and jalapenos like pickles. I use heat as flavor enhancement to a level of pleasure, not pain.

What goes in, must come out.

That stated, some of the funniest vids I’ve ever seen are libs eating ghost peppers etc.

They never talk about the pain they endured the next day...

And I’ll be saving the name of this the next time I’m in a bar and looking for some personal amusement, ready & willing to spot a 50 for the ‘challenge’.

I’ve watched some of those videos. Mostly young people with more guts than brains, men AND women. Can’t help but laugh at their stupidity.
Like you, I used to eat a lot of peppers, mostly pickled jalapeños right out of the jar, with a few beers. I occasionally still eat spicy food, but I am not interested in melting my insides 👹.

My guts never have an “after” with any hot peppers. Genetics, I dunno. Have a half brother that suffers as you indicate you do.

I like the flavor of habaneros but not the heat. Luckily, they make a heatless one now.
