Well, if you begin to doubt your ability to defend against a threat, then the next best way to protect your people and assets is to prevent the launch. Best way to prevent a launch is to deny your enemy the ability to launch - ie. take out the launchers, storage sites, assembly sites/labs... They'll have a fairly comprehensive target list, and they'll run it.
So yes, the net effect will not be a more peaceful middle east, but rather a destabilized, likely to see military action middle east. The decision not to support a defensive weapon system will cost lives. Seems the leftist 'rats have no problem placing other peoples' lives at risk. None at all.

Can’t blame them after Biden and blinky have betrayed them. Its a matter of self preservation. An attack on Iran is also imminent, lest Israel signs a false 7 year peace covenant first, which will come to pass soon enough.
Daniel 9:24-27
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
