We’re still using a crockpot we paid $5 for at a garage sale 25 years ago. Darn thing is indestructible. Crockpots are incredible gadgets.

Very clear in 20-20 hindsight that something this good would be invented not only in flyover country, but in the middle of flyover country for and by people who have real lives and real challenges.

My mom had one and she used it for beef stew which would feed us for days.
In fact, the term leftovers may have started with the crock pot.
It did for me anyways.
