Super-woke Ben & Jerry's releases Change is Brewing ice cream flavor in support of Cori Bush's $10 billion proposal to replace police with social workers in 'mental health and drug' emergencies

Ben & Jerry's is releasing a new ice cream flavor in support of a $10 billion bill by Rep. Cori Bush that would replace police officers with social workers and other first responders in incidents of mental health and substance abuse.

The Vermont-based ice cream company announced the limited batch, Change is Brewing, in a press conference Monday featuring the company's 'head of activism', Jabari Pall, and Bush herself.

The cold brew-flavored ice cream, complete with marshmallow swirls and fudge brownies, was developed in partnership with black-owned coffee and tea company Blk & Bold and New York's Greyston Bakery, known for its brownies.

'The flavor supports the vision of the world in which every community is safe and everyone including black and brown people can thrive,' Pall said.

The illustration on the pint features a black woman painting the word 'liberation' on an easel.

'I'm the St. Louis congresswoman and I'm proud to be the St. Louis congresswoman, to be someone whose work was born primarily out of the Ferguson uprising,' Bush said at Monday's press conference, referring to her time community organizing in Missouri after the 2014 police killing of Michael Brown.

'For decades, our communities have suffered under the violence of intentional disinvestment and underfunding.

'Our healthcare, our education, our housing, our green spaces all left in shambles while our police spending per capita continued to increase to its present level as one of the highest in the country.'

Ben & Jerry's also partnered with the Movement for Black Lives for the new flavor.

Bush, a Black Lives Matter activist, unveiled the $10 billion People's Response Act in June.

White Mountain Creamery was a great Co.for Ice Cream before Ben and Jerry took over. I wonder if Bernie has stock in B&J? I bet Pelosi and F. Biden have their freezers full. I remember the days when we had Red White and Brown Ice Cream, it was no big deal. B&J are sure to come up with a Non Vanilla flavor soon. “Amerika, what a Country” it may get to the point where even Yakov Smirnoff decides to ask political asylum in Putin’s Russia. Everything today is politically oriented. It was never this bad. What next, will it be Mom’s Apple Pie? Change Brewing? Better watch out, it may have a bitter taste.

“$10 billion bill by Rep. Cori Bush that would replace police officers with social workers and other first responders in incidents of mental health and substance abuse.”

Um.... a phone tree assessment?

Press 1 for mental health responder
Press 2 for substance abuse responder

When, where, and who makes the pre-assessment? A real cop?

I suppose that when mentally ill people and drug users kill social workers, it will show that the government needs to spend more money.

Local Miami media covered this fake news story today.

I refuse to buy BJ crap anyway, so it won’t affect my spending.

And the only people who comply with their corrections are the law abiding, thereby losing more of their freedom, while the people who can’t live within the guardrails of society continue to disrupt causing the need for further legislative action.

“I suppose that when mentally ill people and drug users kill social workers, it will show that the government needs to spend more money.”

And create more unelected positions for politicians to use as currency. In another post, it was pointed out that when the teacher’s union figured out that poor performance resulted in more money and higher salaries, that was when the educational system really started falling on it’s face.

I support it too! As long as I can watch the social workers approach the drug fueled psycho on the street terrorizing people.

Hilarity will eventually ensue.

Unilever is a holding company that owns a huge number brands. They generally seem to let individual companies maintain their own corporate culture, though likely stepping in if it ever hurts profits.

They are, as a holding company, nearly unavoidable and essentially are morally and ethically indistinguishable from other such holding companies. Expect to find that they all are generally friendly to poofters and other unsavory but loud and obnoxious segments of the population.

That said I don’t tend to buy much from them. Mainly only Lipton tea and Hellmanns mayo.

When I say I avoid Been Injuries I mean just that. It’s not a boycott after so many years, just a fact.

Why couldn’t she be painting “Communism” on the easel? It would be more accurate.

DANG!

Cori Bush's $10 billion proposal to replace police with social workers in 'mental health and drug' emergencies

See, I'd kinda go for that... not social workers per se, but less-aggressive units of the police.

Problem is, you never know, until it unfolds, if it's a criminal scene or a mental-health-or-drug-overdose scene.
