An area in Bridger-Teton National Forest where authorities found remains believed to be 22-year-old Gabby Petito now has a makeshift memorial made of white stones arranged in a cross.
The memorial was spotted Monday evening at the Spread Creek Dispersed Campsite. Law enforcement awaits an autopsy scheduled for Tuesday to confirm whether the body belongs to the missing 'van-life' woman...
DailyMail.com exclusively found the location where Gabby’s transit van was filmed by a Youtuber on August 27th at the Spread Creek campsite. The remains were found not far from where the van was photographed.
The location was found Monday just minutes after law enforcement left the campground around 5:40 p.m...
...Forensic experts have been going over Petito’s computer hard drive for crucial clues after police in North Port, Florida, got a court warrant to search the device.
The computer was with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie when he returned to Florida ...
...The warrant reads: ‘On August 27th, 2021, the subject’s mother, Nichole Schmidt, received an “odd text” from the subject. The text message read, “Can you help Stan, I just keep getting his voicemails and missed calls”.'...

I’m sticking with my guess the FBI search did not locate BL’s camping gear. They made quick tracks to the shed in the back yard. That and the garage are prime locations to store camping gear.
Maybe the Mustang’s electronics/gps/whatever showed the vehicle drove further than the Myakkahatchee entrance to the reserve. We can hope...
The FBI and police ramped up the search after finding her body. My guess is they have a lot of info.
The Laundrie home is very close to Sumter Blvd., where the license plate camera picked up BL arriving into North Port Sept. 1. Very possible it also identified the Mustang’s travels to/from Carlton Reserve. Sumter Blvd. is the route they would take.
Well now....Hmmmm. And the police took the mustang. Actually, that puzzles me. What could possibly be in his car?
So it was a relatively flat area, ruling out a shove or slip off a cliff. But with the water there, they’ll check her lungs for drowning. More likely now this was not “accidental”.
I think they took the Mustang for the electronics travel data. It may also be able to tell when different people drive the vehicle based on driving behavior patterns. Like an airplane’s flight data recorder.
Thanks. I hadn’t thought of that. My old 98 doesn’t have a “black box”.
LOL—a ‘98 vehicle may allow you to get away with burying the bodies. We have one too.
Mine’s a station wagon too. Lots of room. :-)
Ha! Ours is an SUV.
Dang! We’re both good to go! LOL
I was being sarcastic...since teddy bears seems to be the new modern answer on how to cope with deadly situations.
Gabby Petito warned by Utah park ranger that relationship with Brian Laundrie seemed ‘toxic’
NPS Ranger Melissa Hulls:
“I honestly haven’t looked at my body camera footage for that
night. It’s hard to think about now because I feel like I could've
said more to help her,” she said. “It’s hard not to second-guess
myself, and wish I said more, or wish I had found the right
words to make her believe that she deserved more.” Deseret News
Heart-breaking.
Yep.

That remains a possibility, and the autopsy might reveal more that either confirms that, or excludes that.
Of course, if that is the case, it would mean that Laundrie would not be a criminal, but would still be considered a horrible boyfriend, if he indeed took her van, and left her to battle the elements by herself.
After looking at the photo, I can guess the cause of death...
Blunt force trauma. (by a rock)
