Two drugs, Trulicity and Rybelsus, now target this specific receptor to block it. The prescriptions look quite expensive.

You could also target it, yourself, by reducing your carbohydrate intake to a point well-below your carbohydrate burn rate.

Just eat meat & fruit/veg, and smoke a joint for a snack.
Diabetes and glaucoma erased...

Don’t tell them that a drug actually cures something . . . they’ll ban it!

If these drugs reduce neuroinflammation they can be repurposed for all types of diseases. Neuroinflammation has been a hot topic for a decade or so.

A look at goodrx.com has the price as little as $25 per box of 4 and on bing.com it says to inject every seven days. So $25 a month really is not that bad.

I’m sticking with weed even though I’ve no symptom of glaucoma.

Goodrx does not have them at $25. That is something one would have to work out with the company, directly.

For everyone else, it’s over $700 for four, even from Costco’s pharmacy.

Ouch! I just noticed you have to have a Trulicity savings card, not a coupon from GoodRx. You are right, it’s not the same as other drugs where you can get a discount through GoodRx. That’s a horrible price, especially if it is used to prevent a disease you may or may not get.

The findings suggest that GLP-1 receptor agonists may decrease a diabetic patient’s risk of developing glaucoma by half......

Small consolation after you’ve been diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy.

Forget the fruit; too many natural sugars. Am there, doing it.
