Looking like the 1972 eruption so far.

One interesting feature is the offshore boils of gas several miles offshore. Not much published pictures of that but some look to be miles offshore. Considering the water depth is 13,000’ this indicates magma erupting from fissures near the true base of the volcano as what is visible above the water is only the last several thousand feet of the summit. May indicate a large reservoir of magma pushing up.
