I really enjoyed watching the Fresno State - UCLA football game last night. Should I have not wasted my time on that due to all the problems in the country and world, and just concentrate on those? Just like we need sleep, we need some enjoyable diversions to refresh and rejuvenate ourselves every day, and keep us sane.

I am not saying that disappearances among NA women are not a problem. Just that numbers that don't make any sense don't help the discussion.

I learned a few things from the video, both about human behavior and this “case”. Decidedly non-expert speculation therefrom:
The young woman had quit her job with the notion of building a website and becoming a blogger/internet celebrity. Because of this, she spent a lot of time working in her computer, obsessing about her appearance, and keeping the van immaculate, so all would look perfect on youtube. Because Brian did not see blogging/you-tubing as a real career path for her, and resented the time she spent keeping the van immaculate, etc., he interpreted her actions as self-destructive. She got angry and defensive. He thought she was in the thrall of what she herself called “OCD”, and tried to get her to leave the van and her computer for a break. She felt belittled, and her dream threatened. They care about each other, but she’s hurt and angry, while he thinks, perhaps self-servingly, that he’s helping her. They had a couples “fight” over this.
Whether any of that set the stage for subsequent events remains a mystery. One of the odd things the analysis showed was how talkative the guy was at the traffic stop, wanting to explain everything. The change from that to refusing to say a word is ...curious.
A small point, they left for their trip on July 2nd from Gabby's Mothers house in NY state.

That said, such conclusion doesn't mean Brian didn't play a role in Gabby's disappearance.

2. With Brian so clearly open and compliant with LEO in Utah, why won't he talk to LEO now?
If the kid ever saw The Fugitive (either the movie or the TV series) and he didn't cause Gabby's death or disappearance, it would be life imitating art. Without proof, anything the kid says would be used against him. Not to mention LEO jumping to conclusions.
It's also possible that the kid is just as much in the dark as everyone else. No "one-armed man" to which to point.
But that is just speculation. Need to let the facts come out, if and when they do.
