Not sure which inbred, incestuous evildoer was Emperor when Revelation was written, just that John was in exile on the Isle of Patmos.

The double thing is a possibility I guess, but it would have an even stronger effect if the “coming back to life” was in the “real” BiteOne. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen, though. Let him “go naturally” (or by means of a tribunal’s verdict).

It was Nero, he was born in 37 A.D. and lived till 68 A.D.

A book by John A. T. Robinson “Re-dating the New Testament” pegs the writing of Revelation as being before the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

So there’s a lot of tie-ins in there to the current events of the day, plus prophecies of what was going to happen to Israel and Jerusalem.

Patterns also repeat themselves in history.
