They are both far left purely evil forms of totalitarian regimes. They deserve no distinction.
That’s the assumption that the Political spectrum is more like a circle than a line.
Yes that’s yet another example of foolishness. The whole point of left and right is to provide a means to measure the amount of government. It’s a scale with total government on the left and zero government on the right. The circle nonsense is just a leftist lie. Imagine a scale to show the relative weights of things with heavy things on the left and light things on the right. If that scale were to be a circle then at some point very heavy things would have to become light and very light things would become heavy, which like all leftist ideas makes no sense whatsoever.
The fascism on the right nonsense is a lie created by the left so they could point to the right and say “see they are mass murderers to”. Nope that’s a lie. Only the left are the murderers. They are all awful evil people. Good people are on the right.
The author buys into the lie that Nazis are right-wing. I cannot believe people feel that way. Nazis are extremely left-wing and if a person bothers to look into it even superficially they would discover this very quickly.
I immediately discount anything else I read from a person that thinks Nazis are right wing. They are willfully ignorant, who knows what other lies they try to believe and force on the rest of us.
The truth is the Nazi’s were amateur pikers in the murder department compared to the commies.
Some modern parallels, IMHO, are the use of the rainbow to symbolize "pride", the appropriation of June (traditionally the month of weddings) as "pride" month, and so forth. Though of course, not as egregious as repurposing the swastika.
There’s a historical quilt block that precedes the 20th century Nazis that looks much like a swastika.
I put one in a sampler I made that hangs in our main hallway. It raises eyebrows sometimes.
Too bad it has retained the negative connotation.
Fascism is merely an offshoot of Marxism that permits private ownership of industry so long as it benefits the Party and the State.

The Nazis were socialists. They’re half a baby step right of the Communists. The difference between them is roughly the difference between maroon and burgundy.

They’re two ever so slightly different versions of the same thing.
