Everybody move in with Nancy Pelosi!
She loves house guests!
You mean housing Mills for illegals to be stacked like sardines
NO, it's NOT good. It's a war on the suburbs. Do some research on it, and you'll see. Obama started the war.
Basically, he wants to take every suburban neighborhood that is still decent and fill it with Section 8 housing complexes full of gangs, illegal aliens, and drug pushers.
My impression is that it makes starter-homes for families too expensive for a young family to afford. People will have to live in complexes and pay rent for longer to save the money for a house. This could mean delaying a family or putting one off altogether.
Now, if you don’t mind raising a family in a rental community (the path taken by a lot of immigrants) then maybe it is good news.
Only if you like slums.
No. It is not good.
It is very, very bad.
The wealthy ‘Rats will never feel the adverse effects of this disastrous legislation. Their neighborhoods in BelAir, Baldwin Park, Beverly Hills, Napa, Marin will be forever single family dwellings.
Ordinary people who work hard, save and get mortgages in order to live in decent neighborhoods are going to be damaged by this legislation.
Tent cities, Baby, tent cities.
Was in CA last week for a wedding, and saw one off the freeway just outside the Berzerkley city limits. Literally knee deep in garbage.
READ Mark Levin's words on this subject of DESTROYING THE SUBURBS..
Imagine you live in a million dollar home on a quiet street in a great, crime-free neighborhood such as Palos Verdes, for example.. THEN, Blackrock buys the house on the corner that you see out your front window. They TEAR DOWN THE SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSE and build a 6 story apartment complex with underground parking.. BOOM, suddenly you have a hundred OF MEXICANS, HAITIANS, SOMALIS, swarming your neighborhood, CARS PARKED EVERYWHERE AND CRIME SKYROCKETING IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD..
SUCKS, DON'T IT? Levin WARNED America about this, and the DESTRUCTION OF THE SUBURBS to be caused by Team Biden, Newsom, Whitmer, etc.. Even Trump touched upon this topic during one of his rallies prior to the 2020 election.. HARDLY ANYONE ELSE WAS DISCUSSING THIS AND THE MEDIA SURE AS HELL DIDN'T.
Enjoy your housing projects lifestyle, millennial!
And, no....it is NOT a good thing.
Good, if you’re a globalist trying to squeeze in as many people, into an area, as possible.
Interesting, though, that a millennial would even consider this as “good”.
Welcome to FR.
This is the logical follow-up to the Left’s abandonment of marriage and single families long ago.
We all know that high-density, low-income housing will not be installed in the neighborhoods of the rich and famous, but in lower middle-class and middle-class neighborhoods. Single family housing in those neighborhoods will gradually disappear and be replaced by apartments. Owning one’s own home will no longer be part of the American dream, it will be a privilege of the rich.
Why would it be good if your house value goes down because instead of there being million dollar homes areound you and those that can afford those, you have the neighborhood flooded with those that could afford only a house 1/4 of that?
The real big question I have is what does it say about parking? How many off-street spaces per dwelling unit?
I have seen lots of older communities where the streets are packed with cars from illegal units in basements. Now that will extend throughout the suburbs.
This is raw socialism at its best. But given it is California I guess that is acceptable. Why anubody would want to live in California, except if you were homosexual, is questionable.
If I hadn’t bailed from CA a few years ago, this ALONE would have been enough to make me bail fast.
Basically what it means(I had my Mom read the article since Im not familiar with zoning) I live in SoCal, how it works is lets say someone buys your home, you live on a residential street with only private houses, someone can buy your house and build a duplex, or an apartment complex where your house used to be, so now the property value of the other private houses will go down because you will have all private houses and this eyesore of a apartment building on the street. Some neighborhoods are mixed, private houses mixed with apartment buildings so that wont make a difference, but for those who live on a street with only private houses, having a apt building pop up will drop down their property value they wont like it
I hope this law will be struck down on Constitutional grounds. People have a right to associate with whom they please and form private contracts. However, I suppose this only applies to private neighborhoods, and not municipal zoning.
All part of the old Agenda 21 that started about 30 years ago. Do away with the suburbs and force us all to live in inner city ghettos — that is unless you’re a wealthy liberal.
