If he gets a smart criminal defense attorney, the atty could work out a deal in exchange for telling them where they can recover her.
Unless they can narrow down the search area, finding her will depend on somebody stumbling upon her .... could be tomorrow, could be years/decades. I had to wait a year for a friend of mine to be found when he went missing in some mountains .... he’d still be there if someone hadn’t randomly run across his remains ... we were VERY fortunate.
It’s tempting to make the obvious speculation but hey, maybe she just turned up somewhere from being lost in the woods or something.
But one isn’t going to bet on it.
